Virginia Music Adventures' Annandale Jazz Ambassadors is a group of young musicians age 12 – 18 who rehearse and perform concerts in the greater Washington DC area before taking their performances on domestic and international tours. Programs are offered in the Fall, Spring and Summer months. Locally AJA performs for senior groups, community service programs, and music festivals throughout the Greater Washington DC area.
Domestic tours have included concert performances up and down the Atlantic east coast with stops in Rehoboth Beach, De, Ocean City, MD, Virginia Beach, Va., and Williamsburg, Va. International tours over the last 5 years have included performances and trips to France, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, the Caribbean, Australia, Los Angeles, Peru, Ecuador, and the Republic of Turkey.

The Annandale Jazz Ambassadors holds rehearsals on Wednesday afternoons from 4:15-6:30 pm during the school year and daily during the summer session. Rehearsals are held at the Little River United Church of Christ, 8410 Little River Turnpike, Annandale, VA 22003.
Band leaders Jeff Cummins and Aaron Broadus have been offering their unique approach of performance based music instruction to local youth for over 25 years. In VMA they are joined by guest clinicians from the local professional musical community who contribute their expertise in master classes and sectional rehearsals regularly throughout the course of the program.
Positions in the Annandale Jazz Ambassadors are gained through a competitive audition process. Preference is given to returning band members
