Virginia Music Adventures contracts with local independent schools to provide “turnkey” instrumental music instruction.
Services include:
- Recruitment
- Weekly Classroom Instruction including ensemble, sectional rehearsals, and private lessons
- Curriculum design meeting national standards adopted by the Music Educators National Conference (MENC)
- Budget forecasting, planning and management
- Instrument and equipment acquisition and maintenance
- Music Library management
- State, Regional, National and International Festival registration, planning, and participation
- Domestic and International Motivational concert tours
VMA provides In School services to Green Hedges School in Vienna, VA and Washington Episcopal School in Bethesda, MD.
Recent contributions to these schools programs include:
- enrollment increases,
- additional band and ensemble offerings,
- awards recognition,
- improved espirit de corps.
Green Hedges School Middle School Concert Band came in first place at the Hershey Park Music in the Parks festival in 2009. The Green Hedges School Jazz Band was invited for the second year in a row to perform at the Vienna/Tysons Regional Chamber of Commerce Youth in Education Luncheon, where Fairfax County Public Schools superintendent Dr. Dale praised the bands performance.
