The group gets settled in for the long flight to Lima -- almost 6 hours.

Another plane outside our window kept us company for a while.

After arriving in Lima, we were met by our tour guide Anna Maria and friends to take us to the hotel

On the way to our first concert at the American School, we took in some lovely sights of downtown Lima

Our friends at the large and beautiful campus of Colegio Franklin Delano Roosevelt greeted us to their school.

Although much of Lima is very dry ("Lima is called the City Where it Never Rains"), the school, parks and other places are lush and very well maintained.

We kicked off the concert in their main theater to an appreciative audience of about 200 students.

The concert came together nicely -- the result of our hard work and the dedication of our musicians.

We were able to borrow a stand-up bass for Ileana, and Griffin, Josh, and Gavin kept the rhythm section hopping.

The audience really enjoyed Lawson's performance

Ivan, Jeremy and Jacob add to the percussion section.

After the concert, we shared lunch with students at Roosevelt. Adam appears a bit surprised by the attention he received.

The dry mountainsides surrounding Lima, provide the opportunity for "natural billboards."

The group at the Main Square (Simon Bolivar) in the Old City of Lima

At the Convento de San Francisco, we enjoyed the beautiful architecture, musical library, and catacombs...

...and then we chased some pigeons.

We visited the beautiful coastline and the "Parque de Amor," where a famous competition was held to determine who could hold the longest kiss.

After dinner, we went for a lovely stroll by another park alongside the ocean peaks.

Breakfast at the hotel before our flight to Cuzco.
